Joined Schiphol Group in 2002 as a lawyer. Has since held numerous key posts including heading Schiphol’s Indonesian Joint venture in Jakarta, setting up the business innovation subsidiaries “theGROUNDS” and the Mainport Innovation Fund and leading Schiphol Group’s corporate responsibility effort. At the end of 2015, Schiphol Cargo adopted a new strategy in which top connectivity, building a strong market place for the Netherlands and driving efficiencies are key. Schiphol Cargo has continued to show progress on all these matters with adding more freight frequencies in 2016, with community initiatives on Pharma, E-commerce and Perishables, and with projects aimed at improving efficiency.
Formerly in export management, overseas sales and ocean port marketing. Responsible for recruiting new (Asian) carriers and logistics companies. Principal contact for Schiphol’s cargo airline clients, leads frequent overseas missions. eFreight expert and enthusiast. Speaks six languages – three fluently. Point of contact for industry sectors: Fashion, E-commerce, and Hi-tech.
Former head of pharma for the world’s largest 3PL. Bart has made it his business to meet pharma industry leaders around the world, understand their needs, and work with the Schiphol logistics community to provide solutions and drive best practice. Equally active in perishables circles, bringing growers together with service providers to create better supply chains. Point of contact for industry sectors: Pharma, and Food & Flowers.
Within Schiphol Cargo, Ferry is responsible for the strategic cargo area development at Schiphol and optimization of the pharmaceuticals logistic Cargo processes. He is keen on business development and project management of the Pharma Gateway Amsterdam. He collaborates with public and private stakeholders to encourage the future of pharmaceuticals supply chain.
Arie, a former pilot, has over 15 year air freight experience. He has worked 12 years for KLM and since 2014 for Cargonaut. He has temporarily (until 31 December 2017) switched to Schiphol Cargo for implementing and improving the air freight (IT-)processes in order to carry on the quality in ground handling, together with increasing shipment visibility and predictability.
Pauline has had several years of experience in airline marketing before moving on to the Cargo team. Within Cargo she’s responsible for managing and developing the global marketing and communications strategy, brand management, PR, and market research as well as the organization of various events. She strongly believes in the personal touch and is very community minded. Feel free to contact her!
Every good team needs a solid anchor; at Schiphol Cargo it’s Rabia Gaffar. She has spent 17 years working for the airport in various roles; and since 2009 she is a part of the Cargo team. In her new role as Operational Marketer she takes care of the internal promotion of Schiphol Cargo, organizes events and tours and is a helping hand during several fair trade shows. When it snows, you may even find her at the wheel of one of the airport’s giant snow ploughs, helping to keep the runways open.
Yurt Dogan supporting the Cargo team and community in the execution of the (online) marketing and cargo strategy. Responsible for marketing support in industry sectors: Pharma, Flowers, and E-commerce. Organizes trade shows, implementing and running marketing automation programs, and makes sure that social channels run smoothly.
